He was predeceased by: his parents, Lizzie Taylor and Charles Joyner; his stepfather George Taylor, Jr.; and his brothers, Joseph Knight and Anthony Joyner.
He is survived by: his siblings, Brenda Taylor, Elder Peggy Joyner (Thomas), Elizabeth Mercer, Gwendolyn Allen, Pamela Spell (Ricky), William Joyner (Sadie), George Taylor and Michael Taylor; and his granddaughter Burgundie Jones. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, including a special niece.
