She was predeceased by: her parents, Otha Clifton and Rada Cone Medlin; her husband William Avery Whitley; her son Dewey Lynn Whitley; and her siblings, Norman, Felton, Bill, Jerry, James Curtis Medlin, Maybelle Brantley, Modell Bell, Violet Medlin and Linda Medlin.
She is survived by: her sons, Donnie Whitley and Danny Whitley; her grandson Sley Whitley; and her niece Betty Jo. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
