It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Van Buren Etheridge (Wilson, North Carolina), who passed away on February 19, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife June Etheridge; and his grandson Hunter Dale Etheridge. He is survived by: his children, Carol Tomlinson (Wade) of Wilson and Van D. Etheridge (Ernestine) of Elm City; his grandchildren, Nicole Thomas (Scott) of Wilson, Dana Batchelor (Jonathan) of Nashville, Rebecca Wrenn of Wilson, Paul Tomlinson (Lindsay) of Wilson and Van Paul Etheridge (Dana) of Wilson; his sister Mary E. Winbourne of Maryland; and his brother-in-law Charles Davis of Kinston. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
