He was predeceased by: his parents, William David Lewis and Viola Holloman Lewis; and his siblings, Brenda Harrell, Edward Lewis, Horace Lewis and James Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Frances P. Lewis; his son William Anthony Lewis (Erica Scott) of Atlanta, GA; his close friend Tony Starling of Wilson, NC; his daughters, Connie Frances Lewis of Wilson, NC and Asha "Loretta" Woods (Terry) of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Francesca Sultzer, Lilac Lewis, William E. Lewis, Violet Jane Lewis and Sunday Lewis; his great grandchild Rylyn Durr; and his siblings, Mollie Collins, Wanda G. Leary (Michael) of Harrellsville, NC, Viola B. Lewis of Wilson, NC, Carolyn Privott of Murfreesboro, NC and Cecil McCoy Lewis (Freida) of Harrellsville, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
