He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Pitt, Sr. and Irene Barnes Pitt; his brothers, Paul Pitt, Jr. and Richard Norris Pitt; and his grandson Derrick S. Davis, II.
He is survived by: his wife Levolyre Pitt; his children, James LeAndro Pitt of Greensboro, NC and YoLanda M. Davis of Wilson; his grandchildren, Christian James Pitt of Singapore, Celine Debra Pitt of Douglasville, GA and Cedric Lee of Atlanta, GA; his great grandchildren, Derrick S. Davis, III, DeMaya S. Davis and Ceire Debra Donehoo; his aunt Olive Mae Barnes of Elm City, NC; his siblings-in-law, Valerie Pitt of Norfolk, VA, Johnny I. Farmer (Genieve), George Farmer and Bernard Farmer (Val); and also Ron Gay of Knightdale. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
