He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Pierce Hicks of Chapel Hill, TN; his siblings, Mary Rose Thorne, Paul Sutton Pierce of Windsor and John W. Pierce of Windsor; and his grandchildren, Jacob Tyler, Harley Nicole and Natalie Christine Hicks.
