He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Coffield and Aurelia Harrington Coffield; and his brothers, Sammy, Charles Alfred, William Jesse and Hosea Coffield.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Mitchell Coffield; his daughters, Kim Rogerson (Wayne) of Elizabeth City and Emily Caldwell (Josh) of Greenville; his sisters, Joyce Sherrill of Boone and Libby Ann Wobbleton of Tarboro; and his grandson Logan Rogerson.
