She was predeceased by: her siblings, Carolyn Byrum Bond, Robert Sherlock, Franklin "Bud" and Nelson Ray Byrum. She is survived by: her husband William Jordan "Billy" Smithwick; her children, Carolyn Michelle Abraham Castelloe (Michael) of Bedford, VA and Stacy Lewis Castelloe of Kinston, NC; and her grandchildren, Alexandra Rivera and Sebastian Abraham.
