It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma LaVern Blaylock (Winston Salem, North Carolina), who passed away on June 2, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia Mae Blaylock and James Edward Blaylock; and her sister Paula Belton. She is survived by: her children, LaVeta Blaylock and Gerry Hairston (Shalondra); her grandchildren, Geziyiah, GeMir and GeMari Hairston; her siblings, Reginald Blaylock (Valorie), Cheryl Blaylock, Ronald Blaylock (Petra), Gary Blaylock and Albert Michaux; and her nieces and nephews, Shawnta, Julian, Otisha, Roderick, Brandon, Garrett, Alana, Chadd, Jasmine, Hezekiah and Reginald.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church (1212 N Dunleith Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
