It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Audrey Austin (Winston Salem, North Carolina), born in Hemphill, West Virginia, who passed away on April 3, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Klobas and Mary Costigan Klobas; her husband Fred Austin; her siblings, Joseph Klobas Jr., Geneva Mitchem, Margaret Moneyhun, Betty Vestal and Hetty Cecil; and her daughter-in-law Diane Willard.
She is survived by: her sons, Jerry Metz (Pam) and Ted Gerrey; her adoptive son Tommy Beck of Winston-Salem; her daughter Gail G. Mills (Ernie) of Durham; her grandchildren, Jerry Metz III (Christine), Jason Metz, Ernie Mills Jr. (Denise) and Bethany M. Stroup (Robert); her great grandchildren, Trey Metz, Colton Caudill, BriAnn Metz, CheyAnn Metz, Caleb Stroup, Peyton Mills, Ernie Mills III and Levi Mills; her nieces, Tammy Phillips (Frank), Donna Ray (Randy) and Norma Phillips (Rodney) of Winston-Salem; and also Dr. Billy Norris.
Due to COVID her funeral will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2730 Peters Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem.
