He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Duane and Mae Johnson Ross. He is survived by: his wife Olga Kontemirova; his stepdaughter Ekaterina Cady; his stepgrandson Christopher Alexander "Alexii" Cady of Raleigh; his sister Lynne Ross; his brother-in-law George Rudolph Wilkens of Hawaii; his aunt Edna Johnson Scarpino of Pennsylvania; his cousins, Janice Ricchiuti Hale (Tim) of Pennsylvania, Richard Morrow Ross (Jody) of Charlotte, Catherine Ross Dunham (Jeff) of Greensboro and Hanai; and his sister Sonya Williams.
