With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Ann Church Shoemaker (Winston Salem, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 29, 2025 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson Church and Rosie Virginia Cook Church; her husband Billy Ray Shoemaker, Sr.; her son Christopher Shoemaker; her siblings, Wilma Jean, Doris Price, Katherine Wall, Woodrow Church and Jerry Church; her grandson Jeffery Hauser; her siblings-in-law, Jim Fletcher and Phyllis Church; and her niece Tina Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Vaughn (Tommy), Oscar Shoemaker (Melissa), Billy Shoemaker, Jr. (Donna) and Ronnie Shoemaker (Tammy); her siblings, Bobbie Fletcher, Wendy Manring (Rick), Floyd "Buster" Church (Marlene) and Ronnie Church (Kathy); her grandchildren, Ronnie Ray Shoemaker, Jr. (Natalie), Nicolas Shoemaker, Stephen Shoemaker, Angel Faucette (Will) and Dana Carter (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Lainey Faucette, Kaylee Carter and Maggie Carter; and her brothers-in-law, Hubert Price and Raymond Wall.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Woodland Baptist Church (1175 Bethania-Rural Hall Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
