Though Josie may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade Thornton Lancaster and Helen Estelle Evans Lancaster; and her daughter Jill Fansler Preston. She is survived by: her husband Wayne Fansler; her son Jeff Fansler; her brother Richard Lancaster (Jeanie); and her great grandchildren, Natalie, Gwen and Bobby Preston. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Woodland Baptist Church (1175 Bethania-Rural Hall Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
