We are sad to announce that on June 14, 2025, at the age of 83, Marilyn McGarrity Minford in Winston Salem, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Marilyn McGarrity leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George McGarrity and Eleanor McGarrity; her husband Jim Minford; her stepson Jeff Minford; and her former husband Gene Cawood.
She is survived by: her sons, Rick Cawood (Kris) of Wayzata and Scott Cawood (Greer) of Winston Salem; her stepdaughter Cindi Pinno of Jacksonville; and her brother Richard McGarrity (Noel).
