It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle G Childress of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on February 18, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Gurley and Nattie Louise Corbett Gurley; her husband Larry Gantt Childress, Sr.; her son Larry Childress, Jr.; and her siblings, Louise, Jessie and John.
She is survived by: her son Steve O. Childress (Donna); her daughter-in-law Roxanne Myers; her granddaughters, Karen Walker (Wes), Stephanie Childress (Brandon), Jennifer Childress (Jason) and Danielle Childress; her great grandchildren, Hailey, Jason and Trevor; and her sisters, Ruby and Hazel.
