She was predeceased by : her parents, James Hubbard and Ollie Neal Linville; her former life partner Avery Thomas Watkins, Jr.; and her niece Kelly Neal Pierce. She is survived by : her husband Querrendar L. "Mike" Carmichael; her sister Janie Linville Pierce (Charles); her nephew Keith Pierce (Darlene); her great-niece Heather Pierce McCoy (Ethan); and her great-nephew Justin Blake Pierce.

A graveside service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Morris Chapel United Methodist Church (2715 Darrow Rd, Walkertown, NC 27051).
