It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip Willie Jeffreys III of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Juanita Jeffreys and Phillip Willie Jeffreys; his sister Phyllis Rosalind Jeffreys; and his stepson Jimmy Douglas Perkins. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Smith Jeffreys; his children, Phillip Jeffreys IV (Lavondra), Patrice Jeffreys and Janie Latonya Perkins; his sisters, Beatrice Patrick of Winston-Salem, Patsy Watkins (Ruben) of Winston-Salem, Patricia Jeffreys of Winston-Salem and Frances McLendon (Ruben) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his grandchildren, Ashley Perkins, Krystal Perkins, Keyanne Perkin, Ja'Lorice Jeffreys and Phillip Kenard Jeffreys; his sisters-in-law, Blanche Vance (Napoleon) and Felecia Holmes (Andre); his siblings' children, Ada Latoya Harshaw, Regete, Rejay Jeffreys and Emanuel Jeffreys of Winston-Salem; and his close friends, Rev. Mack McConnel, Joe Boseway, Michael Greggs, Michael Wilson and Ronald Moore. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins.
