He was predeceased by: his parents, Odell Sechrist and Margie Cranfill Sechrist; and his grandmother Frankie Cranfill. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jacob (Skyler), Makenzie, Tyler Whitley, Kailey, Kelsey Sechrist, Mia, Brittyn and Charlie Sechrist; and his friend Rose Joyce (Tony).

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Trellis Supportive Care (Hospice) at 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
