Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Sally Burwell Gillespie Reed (Winston Salem, North Carolina), who passed away at the age of 86, on May 31, 2025. She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. John William Reed; and her parents, J. Barnes Gillespie and Eliza Gillespie. She is survived by: her children, John Reed, Jr. (Mary) of Winston-Salem, Kathryn Reed (Boaz Sharon) of Boston and Sarah Reed Carter (Jeff) of Brevard; her grandchildren, Hannah Reed Wilkinson (Josh), Nelson Reed, Ethan, Abigail Sharon, Eva and Lily Carter; and her great grandchild Theo Wilkinson. She is also survived by many cousins and the fourteen aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church (520 Summit St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101).
