He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie James Campbell Sr. and Jessie Mae Little Campbell; and his children, Shantisa Smith and Julius Gibbs. He is survived by: his wife E. Denise Campbell; his sons, Michael Smith and Willie Campbell, III; his grandchildren, Arionna, Micari, Satavion, Kayla, JuMaya, DiRon, Zay, Julius and Catori; his sister Wendy Campbell-Rowdy (Brian); his nephew Bryant; his close friends, Anthony McArthur, Charles Coleman and Chris Withers; and also, Trina Ford and Phyllis Cox. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
