He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin "Shorty" Shackelford and Peggy Williams Shackelford Harrell; his sister Pam Adams; and his pet Gunner. He is survived by: his wife Alice Shackelford; his children, Bradley, Joshua Shackelford and Lauren Shackelford (Henry Myers); his siblings, Donna (Robert Keel) of Farmville, Janet (Stacy Clontz) of Farmville, Barbara Shackelford of Farmville and Gerald Shackelford of Hookerton; his mother-in-law Cecelia Parker; and his siblings-in-law, Katherine (William Abril) of Jacksonville, Rachel Parker of Wilson, Melissa Tsao of Jacksonville and Timothy Parker (Sonia) of Cary. He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews, and 26 great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Farmville Funeral Home (4226 E Church St, Farmville, NC 27828).
