She was predeceased by : her parents, Luther Thompson and Lee Helen Halloway Thompson; her husband John Clayton Englebert; and her siblings, Miranda Long, Eugene Thompson and Roger Thompson.

She is survived by : her brother Richard Thompson (Sharon); and her close friend Rodney Harris. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
