It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Thomas Bridgers (Woodland, North Carolina), born in Hertford, North Carolina, who passed away on October 27, 2018, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard Bridgers and Marion Stephenson Bridgers of Jackson, N. C; and his siblings, Margaret Lynn Bridgers, Dean Dawkins and Whit Bridgers.
He is survived by : his wife Betty Wray Hobbs Bridgers of Liberty Commons; and his sister Susan Bridgers Walton of Raleigh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, preceded by visitation with the family from 10 to 11, at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, 116 Short St. in Rich Square, N.C.
