It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shelton James Jones of Woodland, North Carolina, who passed away on May 17, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Ellis "Gabe" Jones and Leona Morris Jones; his son Ray Jones; and his brother Jimmy Ray Jones. He is survived by : his wife Marie M. Jones; his children, Deborah Jones Jenkins (Teddy) of Woodland and David Earl Jones (Jammie Peirce) of Seaboard; his grandchildren, Brian Jenkins (Rebecca), Brandon Jones, Ashley McDevitt, Joshua Jones, Melissa Jenkins, David Allen Jones, Quintin Earl Jones, Chris Collier and Stephanie Collier; and his sisters, Angie J. Joyner of Lasker and Yvonne J. Collier (Perry Lee Collier) of Woodland. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.
