She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bowers and Augusta Spicer Bowers; and her siblings, Robert, James, Claude, Ralph, Walter, George, Edward and Anna Lou Gambill.
She is survived by: her husband Sanford Wooten; her children, Joanna Wooten, Mary Wooten Joyner (Keith) and Tim Wooten; her grandchildren, Emily Joyner Norman (Michael), Leah Shore Amos (Allen), Katlyn Joyner, Caroline Shore (Nick Fontaine), Will Wooten (Jennifer) and John Wooten (Breanna); her great grandchildren, Isaac, Liam Norman, Cora, Amelia Amos, Miles Wooten and Elizabeth Wooten; Polly.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at 1332 Branon Church Rd, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017 with the specified designation of Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home or SECU Hospice Care Center.
