He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Richard Byrd and Lena Clayton Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Martha Harmon Byrd; his children, Shane Byrd, Monica Byrd Fulton (Jake) and Douglas Byrd (Melissa); his stepchildren, Traci Zachary (Richie) and Ricky Willard (Katie); his grandchildren, Cooper Byrd, Austin Zachary (Brittani), Brody Willard, Jaxon Byrd, Otto Willard, Barrett Byrd, Truett Byrd and Presley Fulton; his great grandchild Baylor Zachary; and his siblings, Cynthia Speer (Mike), Martha Byrd and Dale Byrd (Penny).
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville (5108 US-601, Yadkinville, NC 27055). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
