She was predeceased by : her parents, Roby Evan Hutchens and Ida Mae Chandler Hutchens; and her siblings, Ethel Myers, Mary Ruth Hutchens, Romie Hutchens, Raymond Hutchens, Roy Hutchens and R. F. Hutchens.

She is survived by : her husband Dennis Felts; her daughters, Tanya Athan (John) and Denise Cockerham (Allen); her granddaughter Hannah Athan (Tyler Nations); her great grandchild Hadley Athan; and her siblings, Betty Couch and Rufus Hutchens. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville (5108 US-601, Yadkinville, NC 27055). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 at the Yadkin Memorial Gardens (1440 Shacktown Rd, Yadkinville, NC 27055).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the SECU Hospice Home 243 N. Lee Avenue Yadkinville, NC 27055.
