He was predeceased by: his parents, Evan Monroe Rutledge and Minnie Carter Rutledge; his wife Violet Williams Rutledge; and his siblings, Thurmond Rutledge and Bernice Casto.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Gibson and Johnny Rutledge (Sheila); his grandchildren, Kelly McCollum (Brian) and Sheri Swaim (Kelly); his great grandchildren, Ethan, Lucas, Corbin McCollum, Jackson, Cole and Maggie Swaim; and his brother Paul Rutledge. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
