It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Hughes Brooks of Yanceyville, North Carolina, who passed away on June 20, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hester Hughes Brooks and Nellie Lee Brooks Brooks; and his son Lawrence Wayne Brooks. He is survived by: his daughters, Judith Maness and Sharon Cobb; and his sisters, Joyce Carter (Joe) and Martha Ruth Kirk. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
