Dietrich Earle Wood Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dietrich Earle Wood of Youngsville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 30, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Wood and Dorothy Hill Wood; his wife Jean Elizabeth Wood; his sister Linda; and his brother-in-law Roger Shalala.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Wood (Kevin Goodwin), Patricia Campola (Robert), James Wood (Kim), Catherine Santa Maria and Robert Wood (Christi); and his sister Janet Wood. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bright Funeral Home (405 S Main St, Wake Forest, NC 27587). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Bright Funeral Home Chapel (405 S Main St, Wake Forest, NC 27587).
