Tharrington, James Tharrington and Selma "Billie" Carter; his wife Judy Boone Tharrington; his children, Connie T. Pulley (Terry), Dale Tharrington (Rhonda) and Ricky Tharrington (Julie); his stepsons, Dennis Sullivan (Michelle), Jamie Sullivan (Tonya) and Rodney Sullivan (Tammy); and his sister Vivian Young. He was also cherished by 4 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
