It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carl Lewis III of Zebulon, North Carolina, born in Morehead City, North Carolina, who passed away on August 9, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Aurilla Dixon Lewis; and his parents, Carl Duncan Lewis, Jr. and Flaurendia Dare Salter Lewis. He is survived by: his daughter Heather Lewis Johnson; his son-in-law Brian; his son Todd Duncan Lewis; his daughter-in-law Leslie; his grandchildren, Drew, Mary Margaret, Caroline, Ava, Faith and Aidan; his great grandchild Josiannah; and his sister Lucrecia (Richard McBee). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
