She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas and Mozelle Ruth Hagwood Edwards; her husband George Sherry Simms; her daughter Sherry Guy; and her siblings, Ruth Taylor, Betty Ann Rochelle, Wallace Edwards and Harold Edwards.
She is survived by: her children, George Edward Simms (Delores) and Patty Ann Buell (Vernon); her brothers, Warren Edwards and Bobby Wayne Edwards (Esperanza); and her grandchildren, Carol, Chris, Jimmy, Katie, Staceye, Skye, Crystal and William.
