He was predeceased by: his wife Ramona Atkinson; his parents, Wilbert Atkinson and Minnie Atkinson (Atkinson); and his siblings, Troy Atkinson, Willie Earl Atkinson, Minnie Jean Atkinson, Leon Atkinson and Irene Thorpe.
He is survived by: his daughter Kristal Atkinson; his stepdaughters, Anastasia Dennis (Clifford) and Fallon Robertson; and his siblings, Wilbert Atkinson Jr., Elbert Lee Atkinson (Annette), Thad Atkinson, Elsie Pearl McPherson Dorothy A. (James), Rosa Marie Atkinson and Daphne Smith. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
