He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Lassiter and Ollie Belle Ferrell Lassiter; and his children, Kenny Dale Davis, Jr. and Gail. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Lassiter; his daughters, Karen Davis Horton, Jackie and Teresa; his children-in-law, Edward Taylor and Becky of Georgia; his granddaughter Jamie Marie Davis; his great grandchildren, Carissa and Zachary; his siblings-in-law, Jimmy Keith and Fran Keith; and his daughter Prissy Ann. He is also survived by four brothers and sisters.
