We are sad to announce that on October 17, 2021, at the age of 89, Jessie Batten Atkinson of Zebulon, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Pharrow and Nedies Boykin Batten; her husband Joe Atkinson; and her siblings, Ralph Batten, AB Batten and Doris Horne.
She is survived by: her children, Ray Atkinson (Donna) of Smithfield and Connie Nelson (Wayne) of Zebulon; her siblings, JP Batten of Wilson, Martha Pittman of Kenly, Judy Raper of Middlesex and Jean Narron of Middlesex; her grandsons, Ricky Sanders (Genelle) of Texas and Waylon Lamm (Brittney) of Smithfield; and her great grandchildren, Tim, Rhys of Texas, Emalyn and Hazel of Smithfield.
