It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Watkins (Zebulon, North Carolina), born in Franklin, North Carolina, who passed away on May 27, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Proctor Watkins and Rosa Perry Watkins; his son Randy Lee Watkins; and his brothers, Donald Wayne Watkins and Harvey Proctor Watkins.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Gay Watkins; his children, Robert Earl Watkins, Jerry Wayne Watkins (Debbie), Linda W. Weathington (Allan), Wanda W. Cashwell (Don) and Donna W. Hicks (Richard); and his siblings, Charles Watkins, Chester "Buddy" Watkins and Gracie W. Rogers. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren.
