He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Thomas and Pearl Hester Spicer; his daughters, Beebe J. Spicer and Teresa J. Spicer; and his siblings, Durwood Spicer, Gordon Spicer, Paul Spicer and Ella Frances Caudle.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Spicer; his daughter Sherry Spicer Adams (Hank) of Raleigh; his stepchildren, Chad Brantley (Tracy) of Clayton, Shelly Skelton (Jerry) of Easley, SC and Eric Brantley (Melody) of Middlesex; and his brother Morris Spicer (Gracie) of Chesapeake, VA.
