He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hager and Leona Hager (Boucher); his wife Kristi Schroeder; his stepfather Daniel Bush; his brothers, Kenneth and Leonard Hager; his siblings-in-law, Daniel Schroeder, Michelle Reinholdt and Lori Hollingsworth; his parents-in-law, Eugene and Emogene Schroeder; and his nephew Bryce Reinholdt (Bill Gabel).
He is survived by: his son Matthew (Abby Kurtz) of Fargo, ND; his siblings, James Hager Jr. of San Jose, CA, Dave Hager of Minot, ND, Andy Hager of Minot, ND and Angela Hager of Minot, ND; his brothers-in-law, Jody Schroeder (Amy) of Powers Lake, ND, Loren Reinholdt of Ray, ND and Kevin Hollingsworth of Gresham, OR.; and his close friends, Susan, Jerry Imsland of McGregor, ND, Kim Rodin of Kenmare, ND and Deb Gabel of Minot, ND.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
