He was predeceased by : his parents, Michael Poitra and Josephine "Lesedo" Poitra (Davis); his wife Gladys Davis; his siblings, Virginia Poitra, Vita Azure, Anthony Poitra, Dale Poitra and Peter Poitra; and his great grandchildren, Elsie and Simeon Poitra.
He is survived by : his friend Jeff Azure; his children, Perry Poitra (Peggy) of Belcourt, Gary Poitra (Helen) of Dunseith, Marlys Delorme (Cyprian) of Belcourt and Lisa Laducer (Kelly) of Belcourt; his siblings, Ina Allery, Raymond Poitra, Esther Eller of Mabel, Delorme, Mary Ann Morin, Eugene Poitra, Linda Morin and Geraldine Larson; and his close friends, Alvin and Ella McLeod. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
