He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Morlock and Amalia Morlock (Wetzel); his siblings, Gustav, Edwin, Elmer, Alfred, Hulda, Frieda and Agnes; and his son-in-law Ray Wetzel.
He is survived by: his wife Dorene Rath; his children, Pamela Wetzel of Bismarck, Linda Liberda (Monty) of Bismarck, Barbara Steinke (Kirby) of Tuttle and Randy Morlock of Bismarck; his grandchildren, Raymond Wetzel, Jr., Valerie Schuh, Kurt Wetzel, Lisa Eng, Lacey Allery, Joni Perks, Casey Steinke and Jessica Diekman; and his sister Elsa Nerby of Sabin, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
