He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Schieve and Natalie Schieve; his wife Edith; his sons, Arvin Schieve and Darvin Schieve; and his siblings, Paul, Gerhardt, Ervin, Alfred, LaVerne and Laura.
He is survived by: his children, Dean Schieve (Mary) of Lakeville, MN, Kevin Schieve (Beth) and Doreen Sorch (Don); his grandchildren, Shane Schieve of Debbie Davis, Ala, Curt Schieve, Heather Schieve, Zac Schieve, Matt Schieve, Ambre Wald, Travis Sorch, Luke Schieve and Hanna Schieve; his sisters, Mrytle Beaudoin, Lavona Getzlaff and Geraldine Strandberg; and his sisters-in-law, Lucille Schieve, Shirley Schieve and Delores Schieve. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
