She was predeceased by: her parents, Johan Hunkele and Katherine Hunkele (Bartle); and her children, Irmgard, Alexander and Michael.
She is survived by: her husband Christian Nuss; her daughter-in-law Debbie Nuss; her children, Donald Nuss (Karen), Frank Nuss, Diane Kuehn (Brian) and John Nuss (Julie); her grandchildren, Shanon Gerding (Steve), Michael Nuss, Theresa Meidinger (Casey), Benjamin Nuss (Megan), Kristin Nuss, Annie Nuss, Sarah Kuchta (Drew), Dustin Kuehn, Heather Lindsley (Jerry), Christopher Nuss (Sarah), Joshua Nuss (McKinzie) and Jacob Nuss (Kyra); and her brother-in-law Franz Nuss (Marta). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Bernadette's name.
