She was predeceased by: her father Ivan Maas. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Peter Peterson; her sons, Mark Peterson (Summer), Bradley Peterson (Jenny) and Erik Peterson (Amanda); her grandchildren, Piper, Ryan, Bennett, Seth, Adam, Presley, Irelynne and Brooks; her mother Mary Alice Maas (Bartel); and her siblings, Carl Maas (Laurie), Jane Nordaker (Steve), Lynn Peterson (Vern), Susan Ernsting (Jim) and Ellen Rasmussen (Terry).
She was surrounded by her family at the end of a long battle with cancer which was complicated recently by Covid-19.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
