He is survived by: his children, Brad Burchinal (Pam) of Bismarck, Lisa Wald (Hilary), Bismarck Whitelightning and Letoya Whitelightning; his grandchildren, Uriah Burchinal, Joshua Burchinal (Missy), Chad Burchinal (Stephanie), Tenille Hedahl (John), Mark Wald, Kelsey Bartholomew (Adam) and Skye Wald; his great grandchildren, Taylor, Caleb, Jacob, Mikayla, Makenna, Gyeneveve, Grace, Elijah, Carter, Jack, Lucy and Oliver; his close friend Carol Peterson; his godson Andy Tosseth; his brother-in-law Ronnie Baird; and his nephew Calvin Baird.
