He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Poppke and Katharina Poppke (Felchle); his siblings, Ted, Martha Wentz, Leone Dodge, Pauline Purdy, Herbert, John, Esther Charlesbois and Walter "Buster"; and his daughter-in-law Connie Johnson Poppke.
He is survived by: his wife DeLaine Dick; his children, David Jr. (Cindy), Kathy Poppke, Ted, Donna Baumgartner (Tom) and Richard (Amy); and his sister Irene Carter. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
