He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Rub and Margaret Rub (Crary); his wife Marlys Magstadt; his siblings-in-law, Victor Magstadt, Alta Magstadt and Philip Gupman; and his nephew John Gupman.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Rub (Jana), Gaylene Kudrna (Perry), Charlotte Friedt (Joel) and Dayna Bitz (Ryan); his sister Geri Heyne; and his sister-in-law Luella Gupman. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to GracePoint Church or the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
