With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth K. Rakstad of Bismarck, North Dakota, who passed away on October 9, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hal P. Smith and Jorgina Smith (Stensrud). She is survived by: her children, JoAnn Maloney (John) of Bismarck, ND and Duane Rakstad; her grandchildren, Michele Rakstad of Moorhead, MN, Shawn Maloney (Tara) of Urbandale, IA and Paul Maloney (Amber Dooley) of Mandan, ND; her great grandchildren, Alicia Lamberson, Anthony Lamberson (Nikki), Paige, Kaylee, Cora, Maeve, Bridget, Meghan Maloney, Alivea and Jaxson Lawes; and her great great grandchildren, Seeley and Jameson Evanson.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (2203 River Rd NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721).
