He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Kaul and Erna Kaul (Gohl); his wife Marcie Hoffman; and his siblings, Gertie Hoffman and Eugene.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Kaul (Melissa Burghart) and Karmen Carlson; his grandchildren, Katelyn and Jack Carlson; his brother Herb Kaul; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Roehr and Dorothy Herman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
