Van Erem of Bismarck, North Dakota, born in Jamestown, North Dakota, who passed away on July 24, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Erem and J. Kathryn Van Erem (Braun); his wife Shirlee E. Sagaser; his brothers, Victor and Darrel; and his great grandchild Kyan Lauby.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Van Erem (Roberta) of Stillwater, MN, Alayne Van Erem of Shoreview, MN, Philip Van Erem of Jamestown, ND and Kay Van Erem (Aanders Jackson) of Bismarck; his grandchildren, Saleh Miller (Steven) of DeSoto, KS, Karyn Jara (Mark) of Blaine, MN, Emily Johnson (Chris) of Roseville, MN, Molly Ruggles (Shane Novacek) of Arden Hills, MN, Jessica Francis (Dave) of Minot, ND, Elizabeth Lauby (Dustin) of Maple Grove, MN, Annie Schlecht (Tyler) of Wimbledon, ND, Kathryn Holzer (Nick) of Bismarck, ND, Nathan Jackson (Jessica) of Kadena, AFB, Okinawa, Andrew Francis, Bodhi Lauby, Ruby, Pippa Schlect, Allison, Carter Holzer, Julia and Aaron Jackson; Calvin, Nolan Miller, Conner, Logan Jara, Lukas, Anneliese Johnson, Iver Novacek, Ella and Alayna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
